To find and take a person who has done something wrong.
Example: The police arrested him for driving while drinking.

Noun
An action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law.
Example: He has admitted committing several crimes.

A person, especially a police officer, whose occupation is to investigate and solve crimes.
Example: The detective has found more evidences for this case.

Noun
An amount of money that has to be paid as a punishment for not obeying a rule or law.
Example: He got a fine for speeding on the highway.

Noun
Two metal or plastic rings joined by a short chain that lock around a prisoner's wrists.
Example: He was taken to the police station in handcuffs.

A process of asking someone a lot of questions for a long time in order to get information.
Example: The suspect didn't want to answer the questions asked during the interrogation.

The act or process of examining a crime, problem, statement, etc. carefully, especially to discover the truth.
Example: He conducted an investigation to find the murderer.
